127th Toronto International Salon of Photography

Each year the External Comps committee encourages VCC members to consider entering an competition as an individual outside of the club. There are several options for members: CAPA (Canadian Association for Photographic Art), The Red River Ex (cancelled for 2020) and the Toronto International Salon of Photograph held each year in November.

This year there were 9 Victoria Camera Club members who entered the salon. Individuals may enter up to 4 images into each division. The divisions offered this year were Open Colour, Monochrome, Nature, Photojournalism, Still Life and Pets and Domestic Animals.  Unlike CAPA competitions, each image competes individually. The acceptance rate for this salon was 25%. Image are then selected for medals and ribbons.

This year, VCC members won 2 gold medals, 1 silver and 3 ribbons as well as accumulated 29 acceptances. Congratulations to
